My Beginnings

‘Ello, 'Ello, welcome to my artistic world filled with colors and creativity! Who’s there? It’s me talking, I'm Paula Roberts, hailing from the picturesque Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, and I'm thrilled to have you here. Despite my unconventional journey, which involved stints in management, customer service, software administration, and military service, I always found solace in art. I consider myself a "shadow" artist, unleashing my passion for doodling, sketching, and painting after long workdays. Art, to me, is more than a career; it's a form of meditation, a way to relieve stress, and an avenue for self-expression. Even amidst numerous failures and painting mishaps, I find a deep sense of achievement. This realization prompted me to reignite my artistic spark after over two decades. Now, I immerse myself in the mesmerizing world of watercolors and acrylic paints, using mixed media to craft journals and various art pieces. Each day, I'm invigorated by the prospect of learning and pushing the boundaries of my creativity further. Join me on this thrilling artistic journey where magic thrives through collaboration and inspiration!

And of course, the cherry on top – the subject being none other than the hedgehog, a creature close to my heart.
